Email-to-Post: Setting Up Your Account

By Max Yoder

Your Email-to-Post account is ready, so let me help you set it up. There’s nothing to it, really. The first thing you need to do is login to Compendium like you’re about to create a post the old-fashioned way.

Click the Account button at the top right of your screen. You’ll see your general account settings— things like your name, email address, and API key—and, if you look closer to the bottom of your screen, you’ll notice one setting that says “Post by Email.” If you haven’t guessed it already, that’s the thing you’re looking for—it’s your unique Email-to-Post email address.

Sure, it looks like a random string of characters with an @compend.me at the end of it, but it’s not gibberish, and it actually works! Copy it and add it to your email address book. Also, note that you can always regenerate a new Email-to-Post email address if you want.

This is easier than you thought it would be, huh? Now that you have your Email-to-Post email address on record, you can officially create new Compendium posts from your email inbox. Just forward along all of your great email-to-email interactions with clients and coworkers to your address, and start becoming the content creator you’ve always wanted to be.
