Out with the old, in with the NEW

By Krystal Featherston Product Support Manager

With spring in full swing and summer fast approaching, it seems that a lot of people are making changes - shedding the lbs or buying a fresh new wardrobe.

However, the same is true with our clients' designs.  The last few months we've been redesigning templates & CTAs.  Luckily,  I get to spent most of my time talking through design elements and features that our clients would like to see. I must admit, this is my favorite part about this job; I love hearing and learning from our clients.

With that said, one thing that appears to be consistent is the fact that their blogs are a huge part of their overall content strategy.

Have you looked at your blog lately? What role does it play in your overall content strategy? How does your blog design play into that role?

As you start thinking about your blog design, check out the list below ...

  1. Layout - Frame your content

  2. CTAs - Do they create urgency? Are they above the fold?

  3. Page Length - How much scrolling do your readers have to do?

  4. Readability - ensure you have a simple font for readability.  Light backgrounds with dark fonts typically perform better and are easier to read.

  5. Social integration - are you allowing your readers to spread your information for you?  Set-up a ShareThis or AddThis account to have it implemented on your page with each post

Here are some more suggestions when planning and designing your blog.
