Compendium's Integration with Google+

By James Paden Vice President of Product

Ever since the launch of Google+, clients have asked when we're going to integrate with Google+.  Compendium's seamless integration with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, saves our clients a tremendous amount of time and encourages the reuse of valuable content.  Unfortunately, Google+'s API (Application Protocol Interface, it's how different online services communicate with each other) is read only - meaning we can't actually post any information to Google+.

A core group of six social media management platforms were selected by Google for early access to the more advanced version of the Google+ API.  Compendium is not a social media management system and we were not asked to participate in the beta program, but we anticipate Google releasing the full API in the coming months.

We've already completed the work to integrate with the Google+ API and merely need the correct API calls to post a status update or share a link.  Once Google is ready to share Google+ with the development world, we'll have our integration live within hours.  Keep your eyes open for our product release notifications!

Customer Personas: How Many Do You Need?

It’s a common question: How many personas should a business develop as part of an effective content strategy? Our answer: the right number. OK, so that’s a bit cryptic. But the point is there’s no magic formula for the number of personas that will drive the best results for your content marketing program. As you analyze your audience data to...
