Search, Social, and Email . . How you know they're merging

By Brian Millis

For any doubters out there that think that search, social and email marketing are not merging, consider this:

Band Email Widget on Facebook
From a newsfeed update on a band that I like, I am enticed to hear their new song.  When I click on it, I'm asked for my email address.  This is brilliant!  Now they can put me into their email marketing funnel.

For many Compendium clients, leveraging Facebook friends and Twitter followers has been hugely successful.  Email is perfect for story harvesting, and when combined with a strategic long tail search strategy can drive significant ROI for an online marketer.  Don't just take it from me, hear what other industry experts, like Jay Baer have to say about it.

A good content marketing strategy involves getting social content from multiple avenues, like employees, collateral, customers, etc.  Then, Compendium helps you auto-organize that content to deliver the best organic search result possible.  Share and promote that content in social media to increase links, likes, and referral traffic as well.  Combining email, social, and search marketing is a strong move.
