First and foremost, mobile search is growing at the pace Google saw in their initial years and is fueled quite heavily by voice search:
Naturally, as this trend continues, the focus on search and how people are looking for what they're interested in will continue to shift. Along those lines, Google also announced Instant Pages which, again, leads to a more seamless search experience (for those on Chrome). They describe the feature as follows:
Instant Pages can get the top search result ready in the background while you’re choosing which link to click, saving you yet another two to five seconds on typical searches.
So, when you think of making a searcher happy, this is another great leap in the right direction. Even more, as the shift to personalization continues to occur, making sure your search and marketing strategies are working together is increasingly important. How do these shifts change your strategies?
