Hello, I am Jennifer Buscher, a Business Development Manager at Compendium Blogware. To be perfectly honest, in the past I've had some blogging anxiety. Other than my family and friends, does someone really want to know about me, my favorite color, and what I like to do on the weekends? I doubt it. That's why I'm really excited about corporate blogging. With Compendium Blogware, I feel that I'm blogging for a purpose and writing about topics people want to know and are searching for. My blog will specifically explore the benefits of organizational blogging.

That's why I'm really excited about corporate blogging. With Compendium Blogware, I feel that I'm blogging for a purpose and writing about topics people want to know and are searching for. My blog will specifically explore the benefits of organizational blogging. A week ago, Bing announced that they will be adding more
Facebook data into it's main social search according to TechCrunch. In my
opinion, Bing has always been better at incorporating social
content from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Blogs. This
recent announcment not only deepens the Bing/Facebook relationship,
but further changes the future of...Continue Reading the Post »
Recently, I
attended the Web 2.0 Conference in San
Francisco, CA. I stayed in a Kimpton hotel called Hotel Palomar. As I walked into the
hotel, I was immediately greeted by Maverick, a chocolate lab that
works/lays in the lobby. At check in, they offer guests an
opportunity to donate to the local lab rescue. I'm a total
sucker for these kinds of things...Continue Reading the Post »I just hopped off of a call with a high-end jewelry retailer in
NYC. They struggle with driving fresh, non-branded traffic to
their website. Of the 1,000's of visitors that come to their
site, the vast majority already know them. In fact, the only
keywords they rank on include their company name. This is not
unique!

Just got back from Search Engine Strategies 2010 in New York
City. All in all, it was a successful conference. As
expected, the biggest question that these SEO consultants had was
around how to monetize and use social media for search. I
feel like people are are slowly but surely coming around to
understand that the two go hand in hand. Below I've...Continue Reading the Post »
Megan
Glover (Compendium Director of Marketing) and I recently attended
Etail in Palm Springs. One company, Fetchback, had a conference
mascot (Fido, pictured in the middle) who walked around and mingled
with the exhibitors and attendees. This seemed like an
interesting way to draw attention to your BtoB software company,
let alone generate leads. But, it...Continue Reading the Post »This week, I've learned of several new and what I think are
"game-changing" developments on the Compendium front. If you are
in the online marketing world and have not lived in a hole over the
last year, you've probably heard of something called "user
generated content" and how important it is for SEO and online
marketing now and in the future.

I
just booked our trip to Santa Clara, CA for Search Marketing Expo
West. If you are going and want to learn about business
blogging for SEO, please stop by and say "hello" to Chris Baggott,
Megan Glover and I. This will also be the premiere show for our new expo booth. It is pretty flashy!
This
blog post is exactly one week late, but I figured better late than
never. I was in beautiful Miami Beach one week ago today at
the Email
Evolution Conference run by the DMA. It was a great
conference and as a side note just happened to be sandwiched in
between the ProBowl and SuperBowl which added to the
excitment! However, as one of just a few...Continue Reading the Post »It is no suprise that "online marketing spending" tops eMarketer's
list as the #1 area of growth for 2010. With traditional
advertising spend on a steep decline, we can't help but acknowledge
the glaring fact that there is a movement from traditional to
digital.

I think it's safe to say that this movement from traditional to digital is no longer speculation....Continue Reading the Post »
