SEOmoz Stats: Website Keywords vs Blog Keywords

By Chris Baggott CEO & President

I have this presentation I give where I talk about Compendium and our Content Marketing Strategy as a big fishing net. Instead of a few lines in the water that websites give you, you can use Compendium to organize your content so that you are casting a giant net. To me, that is pretty effective Social Media Maketing.

We drink our own Kool-Aid here and I wanted to share this email I got from one of our teamates yesterday. I think it speaks for itself:

"Hey Chris,

I just connected our Google analytics account to our SEOmoz campaign for our Website and Blogs and I loved this visualization of Non-Paid Keywords Sending Search Visits

What it shows is that on a weekly basis our website tops out at 65 keywords while our blogs consistently drive traffic form 500 keywords!

Website

Blogs

This gives me a good indication of where we should look to improve conversion from the blogs onto our website. I heard your Etail presentation was great—nice work!"
