Inbound Marketing Strategy
Everyone knows that launching a linking strategy is both difficult and tedious. That being said, inbound links are hugely important to the success of blogging programs and other online marketing strategies and can't be ignored.
Gettington, an online discount shopping company
, recently attended the BlogHer '10 event and provided awesome goodie bags for the attendees. In addition to providing a tangible takeaway for attendees, they also promoted an onsite contest and Twitter Give-Away
through their blog and the Twitter-verse. The onsite promotion of the contest drove tons of traffic to the blog where interested participants did two things:
- Commented on the value of the giveaways (they were pretty sweet)
- Linked to the blog through their social media outlets
This is a fantastic example of a company using traditional and online marketing strategies to produce a desirable result. Are you effectively engaging your audience, building links and and using social marketing to your advantage?
