Christmas and Compendium

By Allison Bowen Account Manager, Online Marketing

Now that Thanksgiving has passed once again, no doubt you've begun to think about the next holiday around the corner - Christmas!  No matter how you feel about the holiday, you must admit that it's an important one for many retailers.  Often, the revenue made during Christmas far surpasses their sales for the rest of the year.

So this year, how can your business stand out amongst all the others?  Let Compendium's content creation tools grant you those Christmas wishes!

Let's use an example.  Little Suzie really wants a new iPod case for Christmas.  Your Optimize for all keyword variations with Compendium organization sells iPod cases and many other iPod accessories.  Little Suzie's mother gets online and decides to visit Google to help her find the perfect case for her daughter.  If she types in "iPod case" your website will be near the top of the search results.  Great!  But what if Little Suzie's mom gets more specific?  What if she types "green iPod nano case" into Google?  Is your site still ranked at the top?  Probably not.  What about black iPod cases, or red or yellow?!  It would be nearly possible to optimize your website to focus on every variation of iPod cases.

This is where Compendium can help.  Compendium offers a unique online customer acquisition strategy that can help you win search traffic on those long-tail keywords that you might not even realize exist.

Let's use the same example, but this time your organization uses Compendium.  When Little Suzie's mother Googles "green ipod nano case" she happens upon your blog post titled, "Great iPod Nano Cases in Every Color!"  Sure enough, Little Suzie's mother clicks through to your blog and sees a picture of the perfect case.  In the sidebar, she sees a call-to-action to "Order Now."  And on the 25th of December, everyone is happy...  Little Suzie's mother got a great deal and you wound up with a sale!  And all because Compendium helped you target those long-tail keywords that your website may not focus on.

To learn more about how Compendium can help your organization succeed, visit Compendium's website - and be the holiday hero this year!

5 Key Questions to Ask Before Developing Customer Personas

Let’s be very clear about one thing: The only way to ensure that an investment in content marketing will pay off is to know your target audience. And the more narrowly you focus your content based on that knowledge, the more effective your strategy will be. You see, most businesses have a broad customer base. And within that broad base are niche...

Use Content to Fuel Location Based Marketing

What exactly is "Location Based Marketing"?  This really just refers to marketing delivered to a person based on their location.   In the very early days of online and mobile there was this idea that when a person walked by your store you would text them an offer.   A few years later it was Foursquare and the others who allowed you to 'check in'...

Customer Personas: How Many Do You Need?

It’s a common question: How many personas should a business develop as part of an effective content strategy? Our answer: the right number. OK, so that’s a bit cryptic. But the point is there’s no magic formula for the number of personas that will drive the best results for your content marketing program. As you analyze your audience data to...
