Bringing the Social Marketing World to Washington, D.C.
By Allison Bowen Account Manager, Online Marketing

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit my old college roommate at her new home in Washington, D.C. Going into the weekend adventure, I knew the experience would be much different than one I might have here in Indianapolis, Indiana. Upon my arrival we began talking and I suddenly realized how different our worlds have become.
As we discussed our careers, I suddenly realized that words that are all too common to me, such as social marketing, enterprise search application, content management SaaS and more, might not be quite as well known in a place like D.C. I tried my best to explain how my company,
Compendium, is the best social content publishing platform available right now, but as I watched my old roommate's eye glaze over, I knew I had to change my strategy.
Instead of explaining the technology and using the "lingo," I took another approach. I began explaining to her what our platform can be used for - a customer acquisition strategy, lead generation strategies, etc. At that, I saw her eyes suddenly perk up. Gaining customers and leads? Those are goals that are directly aligned with all companies, even those in Washington, D.C.
As a company, you might be on the same page as my roommate. You know you want to grow your business, but the idea of social media marketing strategies is overwhelming. Where do you start? Email and social media? But then what? And how?
That's exactly where Compendium comes in. We're here to show you just how easy and successful using an enterprise search software system can be. Our system provides not only an easy blogging platform for you and your employees, but it allows you to use user generated content as well. And with the built-in blog content management system, you don't have any of the same concerns that you might have with another blogging program; nothing will show live on your blog page until it has your administrator's approval.
So why not get started today? Contact Compendium and let us show you how simple using a social media marketing tool can be. And trust us... soon you'll be using the lingo in your everyday language as well!
